OK, so fashion is in the air... and I have a growing interest in some of the new designer collections. Daily, I read NYmag.com's fashion page where they show the most up-to-date trends in style. I've fallen in love with some of the most beautiful looks! A few Spring 2010 designer collections I love are those by Byblos, CNC Costume National, Blumarine, Julien Macdonald, Basso & Brooke, Krizia, Gucci, D&G, Moschino, Max Mara, Versace and Emilio Pucci. I've never even heard of some of these designers, so forgive me!! I'm a newbie to the fashion world. :) Check out some of my favorite looks after the jump. Which look is your fave? Be sure to comment! Love you guys!!!

PS Really cool visual for inspiration: "Weed the garden so the flowers can grow." Flowers blossoming — I am one of them! :)

Wow, time has flown!!! The last you heard from me was back in September after coming off my promotional tour. I spent a few weeks at home getting back into my vocal training, performance rehearsals and gymmin' it. I started running three miles a day and going on hikes with my dad on Saturdays. I know it sounds awful, but you feel good afterward, for sure! Plus, it was nice to be with my family and relax... but when October came around, I was bursting to go!!

Oct. 22: I had a performance at Ryder University in New Jersey... they were so kind, and we had an awesome show! I was so happy because I brought my vocal trainer/BFF Karen "Marisa Lindsay" Griffith along with me. Her birthday happens to be the day after mine, so we get along like peas and rice — two CRAZY Geminis LOL... read more

Promo Tour PART 1
PART 2: Arrived in Grand Rapids on Sunday (a day off!!) and went to the gym (to work off the popcorn LOL) and relaxed. In the morning we met with label rep Doug and did more RV's. That week, I developed a bad cough and after visiting the doctor, I discovered I had bronchitis!! My voice was also gone... not good!!!! :( I loaded up on Vitamin C, chicken soup, fruits and veggies... I was guzzling Throat Coat tea with honey and a concoction of warm water, cayenne pepper, lemon juice and honey... my lawyer recommended it, so hey, if it works for Stevie Wonder I'll try it! My bronchitis couldn't have come at a worse time — lots of press and DJs were coming to see me perform in London the following Thursday! AHHH. So we spent two days with Doug before departing for the UK. Slowly getting better and on vocal rest, so no hour long phone convos with mum! Bye-bye Doug thank you sooo much. Let's hope the eight-hour flight doesn't make this bronchitis/voice loss worse... read more

Getting ready for a promo event in NYC!

PART 1 OF 2: Wow, what a month... or two! Just wrapped my US and UK promotional tours. I'm buzzing with excitement... wish I could do it all over again!! But the work isn't over yet... though it's not work to me, I love it!!!

My wonderful journey of the last couple of months kicked off in San Fransisco. My manager and I met with a label rep from Jive, Beata. Love her! And so began my visits to the long list of radio stations in the U.S. of A. We went from San Fran to Sacramento to LA to Riverside to Palm Springs... and back to LA. Phew!! We were all over the place. Then from LA to Atlantic City for the "Promo Only" event, which is for radio DJs. I met so many DJs who have been supporting "Now I'm That Bitch" from the beginning, and I so appreciate them. I wouldn't be where I am without them! I performed in AC at the House of Blues and then the next day, we left for New York after saying our goodbyes to Beata. :( We'll miss her!! read more

WOW!!! What a couple of weeks. From Houston to Miami to New York to Los Angeles and back to Miami!! I've been really busy, and I couldn't be happier. I've gotten a lot done and can't wait for more!

I recently finished recording a music video for my debut single, "Now I'm That Bitch," and it's hottttt!!!!!! But let's not get ahead of ourselves... I always get sidetracked and go off on a tangent, so let's start at the beginning... of the last two weeks, that is!

July 9th: Houston, we have a problem. It's my first time in Texas, and I get a nice warm greeting with 105-degree heat. But I'm not fazed! I'm an island girl, so I'm used to hot weather. But I'm still staying indoors as much as I can!! I perform at Rich's Nightclub, and it's a great night. The club is packed, the crowd is pumped, and I have a blast.

July 10th: Welcome to Miami!! Time to start rehearsals for my upcoming video shoot on July 14th, and we've only got the weekend to prepare. Once in Miami, I go straight to auditions for dancers... I always love this part! The next three days are full of rehearsals... read more

New York! New York! I have never been busier or happier in my life! A photo shoot, meetings with stylists, phone interviews, club runs, label meetings, a dance class with my choreographer… aaah! I did not want it to end.  I forgot about sleep and food…my adrenaline kept me pumped.  It’s hard to focus on mundane things like sleeping and eating when you are beginning to live your dream, but my managers made sure I ate… they are such mothers! LOL.  The highlight of my week was hearing my song played at a club and seeing peoples’ reactions!!! What an indescribable feeling!!! My label peeps Puerto Rico, Jami, John, and Jared, along with my managers Allison and Kerrie were there to share the moment with me, which made it even sweeter!!! Another exciting event was signing “the Wall” at Jive…I was looking at T-Pain’s, OutKast’s, Chris Brown’s, Ciara and P!nk’s signatures and just feeling so ecstatic that I was finally getting to add my name! I am really starting to feel like a part of the family. That’s a great feeling!! Until next time…

Cheers,
Livvi
